This is now fixed in the newest Cakedesk release.

Ideally, we would keep unsaved invoices around as a draft but for now, you will receive a warning when you try to leave the screen that you're editing an invoice on.

If I start an invoice and leave the tab, for example if i want to lookup something in another tab, the started invoice is gone.
it would be nice if the started document would be still there.
either opened to directly work on it
or as an entry marked as "draft" or "in progress"

Hi Danae, I'm really sorry that happened to you. That is definitely something we can add to prevent mistakes like this from happening. Thank you for submitting it as a feature request. I hope you were able to reconstruct your proposal in reasonable amount of time!
